Grocery Taxi, Inc. d/b/a GrocersPod (“GrocersPod”) is committed to providing the best grocery shopping and delivery experience possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected and how that information is used. This Privacy Policy applies whether you use GrocersPod Services through a web browser, a mobile application, or any other method.


II. Collected Information 


      A. Personally Identifiable Information


Your personally identifiable information (“PII”) is information that identifies you. When you create an account through GrocersPod, personal information like your name, phone number, email address, and zip or postal code. When you place an order through GrocersPod, we collect information including your address, phone number, credit card information and the details of your order. You are responsible for updating/correcting account information by accessing your account settings. GrocersPod does not collect personal health information and PII will NOT be sold to third-parties.


       B. Technical Information


When you use GrocersPod’s website and/or application, we will receive some technical information about how GrocersPod was accessed. Technical information will NOT be sold to third-parties. We, our partners and/or advertisers use various technologies to collect information, including but not limited to cookies, pixels, scripts, and device identifiers. Cookies are small text files that are sent by your computer when you access our services through a browser. These types of information assist us with improving our services, platforms and customer experience. Additionally GrocersPod, its website and/or applications may record information about your usage of GrocersPod and information that is sent by your browser or device. Login information can include things like the IP address of your device, information about the browser, operating system and/or app you are using, unique device identifiers, pages that you navigate to and links that you click, searches that you run on GrocersPod, and other ways you interact with GrocersPod. If you are logged into GrocersPod, this information is stored with your account information. Again, this information is used to assist with improving our services, platforms and customer experience.


GrocersPod is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information (as defined by the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, or “COPPA”) in a manner not permitted by COPPA. If we obtain actual knowledge that any information we collect has been provided by a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information to the extent required by applicable laws.

We may use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:


 • Provide GrocersPod to you, improve the quality of the service, and develop new services;

 • Allow your Shopper to shop for and/or deliver the order for you, including our retail partners and their employees/agents, to deliver your items to you, and/or call or text you with any updates or issues;

 • Charge you for the purchase and delivery costs through one or more payment processing partners; and

 • Provide customer service, respond to your communications and requests, and contact you about your use of GrocersPod.


Information is shared only to the extent necessary to provide GrocersPod services, including but not limited to the information necessary to pick up/deliver your order and to complete payment processing with retail partner(s) and/or third-party payment processors.


We may also share your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, or requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities; to prevent, detect, or otherwise handle fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the safety, rights, or property of any person, the public, or GrocersPod.


IV. Information Security


GrocersPod uses reasonable internal, physical, and technical measures intended to secure and protect consumer information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. Further, any employees/independent contractors of GrocersPod will sign a confidentiality/non-disclosure agreement to ensure that consumer information is protected. GrocersPod will make any legally required notifications of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your personally identifiable information and/or credit card information. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, GrocersPod will investigate any breach of customer data and will make such notifications to you without unreasonable delay, as required by law.


V. Consumer Protection


The Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General is the principal agency which enforces consumer law in Massachusetts. In addition, the Office of the Attorney General funds local consumer programs which receive and mediate written complaints from individual consumers.
